![]() ![]() Compared to the venturesome remixes, the live tracks are more faithful to the album versions, although Jones’ voice takes on a greater immediacy without the veil of filters and effects that lent the album its air of sonic intrigue. The aesthetic is more indie/alternative, distinct from the rootsy, piano-based pop of Jones’ earlier work. The original album was produced by Danger Mouse, a notable departure after Jones’ collaborations with Arif Mardin, Craig Street, Jacquire King, and others. ![]() The studio bonus tracks “Killing Time,” “I Don’t Wanna Hear Another Sound,” and a reworked “Out on the Road” appear here for the first time digitally, and most of the material from 2013’s Little Broken Hearts Remix – EP is thrown in for good measure. This expanded reissue of Norah Jones’ fifth Blue Note outing tacks on a live set from the 2012 Austin City Limits festival, previously unreleased.
